The average achieved has been slightly over 1cm growth per week!
We are 100% confident that next year with the pond fully established and the Koi given a full 12-14 weeks we will grow some of the Koi to well over 50cm.
In addition to the superb growth, every single Koi grown in the pond improved and this is what you expect from genuine high class Tategoi.

We hope to have all the Koi photographed next week to give everyone a 'before and after' comparison.

The Event


We will be having a Koi No Yohei Summer 'Grow Out' as they call it in Asia.

Once our new 38,000 gallon Fish House is completed we will be placing into it 40 of the stunning quality New Hybrid Koi from our recent trip to Japan.

The Koi are all Tategoi Tosai DOB 08-08 and around 30-35cm. The 
quality of these Koi is exceptional. We have already had many comments 
as to how good these Koi are. Every year, every good breeder improves 
his Koi, Koi No Yohei are improving their Koi at a rapid rate and this years Koi are testament to this.
These Koi will be grown in our new Shower filtered fish house free of 
charge until a mid October Harvest. With temperatures over 25oC and 5-10 feeds a day, we are expecting many of these Koi to be much bigger by the October Harvest and to be worth over £1000!

As an extra bonus, during August Yohei Nagasaki's son Mamouru will visit the UK and we will net the pond and Mamouru will then talk through with the owners what he feels the future hold for their koi and explain in detail 
how this new bloodline has evolved.
He will also bring over the first of his new 'Super Hybrid Koi' that will be 18-22cm at just two and a half months old! The 'Number One' of  these new lineage of Koi will then offered as a prize to best of the 'Grow Out' when they are harvested in October.
 
This will in itself be an Autumn Harvest Event and will be very interesting to see which Koi is deemed to be the 'Grand Champion' prize winner.
